Our Advisors

Our advisors bring different experiences to a shared purpose: helping women feel heard and make sense of the connections between their brain, body, and life.

They contribute perspectives to leni’s work, with the aim of supporting brain health, lightening women’s mental load, and helping women prepare for more informed conversations with healthcare professionals.

Dr. Alisha Razack is a dual board-certified family physician practising in Toronto, where she owns and operates Gerrard Medical, a community-based primary care practice. Her clinical work spans family medicine, with a focus on women’s health, preventive care, prenatal care, and chronic disease management.

She completed her family medicine residency at the University at Buffalo, where she served as Chief Medical Resident and graduated as a Global Health Scholar. Her clinical work in Haiti, Northern India, and the Philippines shaped her interest in health equity and culturally responsive care.

Her approach is grounded in prevention, continuity, and advocacy, and in the belief that strong healthcare begins with a trusted relationship. At leni, she brings that commitment to helping women feel heard and supported.

Dr. Caroline Scott
Orthopaedic Surgery

Dr. Caroline Scott

Caroline is a double board-certified orthopaedic surgeon at Scarborough Health Network, where for more than ten years she has specialized in anterior hip and robotic knee replacements, trauma reconstruction, and sports surgery. Scarborough Health Network has recognized her as one of its top doctors through its Love, Scarborough campaign.

She earned her medical degree at the University of Toronto, where, as a Lawson Foundation scholar, she did research in Zambia and Uganda, including a study of what keeps girls and women playing soccer despite social pressure to step away. As a surgical resident at the University of Toronto, she was selected for a pilot program in accelerated surgical training, then completed a fellowship at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in trauma surgery and joint replacement. Before medical school, she played hockey at Cornell University and captained the team in her final year.

At leni, Caroline brings her surgical and athletic experience together, helping keep leni grounded in how women can maintain strength, bone and muscle mass, and mobility through every stage of life, and clear about when it is time to see a specialist.

Jennifer Myers Chua
Creative Strategy

Jennifer Myers Chua

Jennifer Myers Chua is a Toronto-based creative strategist and creative director with a human-centred approach to solving problems. She began her career in design, including leading art direction for Food Network Canada’s digital team, before co-founding Hip Mommies, a Canadian company focused on sustainable baby goods and consumer product safety.

More recently, Jennifer co-authored the bestselling, award-winning climate book The Carbon Almanac and led its four-show podcast network (her favourite was the one for kids). Her work has since spanned climate, social purpose and philanthropy, collaborating with people and organizations including Seth Godin, Goodbids, Toronto Climate Week, ICLEI Canada and Gedi Village Foundation.

Curious by nature, Jennifer is most interested in understanding people, finding the real problem underneath the obvious one, and working collaboratively to find the right solution. She is particularly drawn to areas where better information, thoughtful design and clearer communication can give people more agency in their lives — which is what brings her to leni and women’s health.
